Song Weilong and Michelle Wai Grace the Grand Reopening of MIKIMOTO ELEMENTS Boutique
A Reimagined Pearl Jewellery Spectacle
The Largest MIKIMOTO Boutique in Hong Kong Unveiled
MIKIMOTO, in celebration of the relocation and grand reopening of its ELEMENTS boutique, welcomed Global Brand Ambassador Song Weilong and award‑winning actress Michelle Wai for an elegant ribbon‑cutting ceremony, hosted by acclaimed media personality Do Do Cheng. Spanning over 2,600 square feet, the newly unveiled boutique is now MIKIMOTO's largest in Hong Kong, marking a radiant new chapter in the brand's pearl aesthetic journey across the city.
The boutique's refreshed interior is bathed in golden luminosity. The storefront features metal panels complemented by refined textures, in a meticulously selected shade of champagne-gold. The sleek façade is framed by pristine glass windows that echo the maison's modern sophistication and timeless luxury. Inside, warm terracotta walls set a gentle, inviting tone, contrasted with deep blue carpets and marble flooring. Gracefully contoured showcases and shimmering wave‑inspired chandeliers evoke the depth and artistry of the sea, paying homage to the eternal muse of MIKIMOTO.
A dedicated “1893 Heritage Wall” presents one of the maison's most iconic treasures: Yaguruma. First exhibited at the 1937 Paris World Exposition, this legendary masterpiece can be ingeniously dismantled and reassembled into twelve distinct forms. Blending Art Deco geometry with Japanese traditional aesthetics, Yaguruma embodies MIKIMOTO's pioneering metalwork and ornamental craftsmanship. The legendary creation in jewellery history guides guests through more than a century of Mikimoto heritage.
To mark the occasion, Global Brand Ambassador Song Weilong and renowned actress Michelle Wai, winner of both Hong Kong Film Awards and Hundred Flowers Awards, attended the ceremony in impeccable style. Song Weilong captivated the room with a refined, modern ensemble, showcasing a curated selection of MIKIMOTO high jewellery featuring Black South Sea pearls with sapphire rings, and bracelets. His presence is a striking interpretation of masculine elegance within the world of pearls.
Michelle Wai radiated sophistication in the mesmerizing The Bows high jewellery necklace, paired with diamond rings and earrings from the Bow Charm collection. The delicate bow motif shimmered with graceful brilliance, enhancing her poised allure. Host Do Do Cheng arrived in a sleek all‑black suit, adorned with a classic MIKIMOTO pearl necklace and a White South Sea cultured pearl ring from the Mikimoto M Collection, her look exuded confident, timeless femininity.
